e-Posters Program WWSS21


General Instructions

WWSS21 will offer the possibility to master and PhD students, as well as to wastewater and biosolids professionals, equipment suppliers, public bodies and organizations to present their work by e-posters. A one-page abstract should be sent to; (please see below the abstract guidelines and important dates). The organizer will review this material and will timely inform about the acceptance of the presentation.


June 30, 2021: Deadline for the submission of e-posters one-page abstracts (abstracts to be sent to:

July 11, 2021: Notification of acceptance of e-posters.

July 16, 2021: Deadline for the full Registration to the WWSS21.

July 21, 2021: Deadline for the submission of final e-posters.


WWSS21 will offer the Best e-Poster Award to the best poster of the Session

Please read the guidelines below carefully.

  • All posters will automatically be considered for the e-Poster Award (there is no need to apply for the Best Poster Award).
    • Two reviewers will select the best posters.
    • The winners will be formally announced during the closing of WWSS21, on Friday 30 July, 2021.
    • The winner of the e-Poster Award will receive an award certificate.
    • The posters will be evaluated in terms of scientific rigour, design and layout, contribution to the field, relevance to the School theme and overall presentation.


Abstract Guidelines
Volume: min 200, max 300 words in English ready for printing MS Word for Windows format (.doc); (a single paragraph, without indentation)
Paper size: A4;
Margins: left and right – 20 mm, top and bottom – 25 mm;
Font: Times New Roman; font size – 12 pt, single spacing;
Title: in bold type, capital letters, Times New Roman, font size – 16 pt; limited to 20 words
Name of authors: font size – 14 pt (without degrees);
Name for the certificate
Affiliations: Include data for the authors at the end of the abstract as follows: degrees, name, family name; work place; address for contact; telephone, fax number, e-mail.
Abstract layout – Abstracts must be submitted with the following sections:
References are not obligatory
No Tables, graphs and images should be included

Orientation: Portrait Format, Single-Page
Dimensions in Pixel: 1080 width x 1536 height
Dimensions in cm: 38,1 width x 54,2 height
Recommended font zise: Minimum 16 points
Sound: No sound supported
